Headquartered in Chennai, Ashok Leyland is a reputed Indian commercial automobile manufacturing organization. It is the second largest in this segment. It is also among the leading vehicle producing companies of the world and stands 4th in manufacturing buses and 16th in producing trucks. In coalition with Nissan Motors, Ashok Leyland has also entered the LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) segment.

The organization has several manufacturing units in India, as well as the other parts of the world including Europe and the Middle East. In India it has units in Ennore, Hosur, Alwar, Bhandara, Pantnagar, and Sengadu Village. It also has a technical centre at Vellivoyalchavadi near Chennai.

Trucks: The ace automobile manufacturer produces some of the best trucks available today. It makes long haul and distribution trucks, as well as those used for construction & mining purposes. DOST is a fuel-efficient SCV with a payload of 1.25 tons. With a 4 ton payload, PARTNER is revered for its comfort and superior mileage. STiLE is an MPV which comes with a sturdy dCi mill. MiTR is an advanced 27 seater LCV bus.

Defence Vehicles: From Field Artillery Tractors & Light Recovery Vehicles to Rapid Intervention Vehicles and from Water Bowsers & Truck Fire Fighters to Fuel Dispensers, Ashok Leyland is the proud supplier of defence vehicles to the Indian Army. These vehicles are built on the SUPER STALLION & COLT platform and make the organization the largest logistics vehicle supplier to the Army.
