2022 Virginia Festival of the Wheel rolls into Charlottesville at Boar’s Head Resort August 26-28

Charlottesville, Virginia – The 4th annual Virginia Festival of the Wheel takes place in Charlottesville at the Boar’s Head Resort from Friday, August 26 to Sunday, August 28. Some of the finest automobiles in the Commonwealth and beyond will be on display to raise funds supporting the UVA Cancer Center Patient Fund. Tickets and registration are open now at vafestivalofthewheel.com.
The 2022 theme is “Cars of the Autobahn” and features classes for Porsche, BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz with perhaps a separate open class for Karmann-Ghia, Opel and VW if there is enough demand. The special guest for 2022 is Hurley Haywood, famed road racing endurance driver.
“The Virginia Festival of the Wheel is designed as a special event to raise funds for the UVA Cancer Center Patient Fund through a weekend that brings together car enthusiasts with a unique display of classic and collectible cars. We are honored to once again host this event at Boar’s Head Resort, which provides a beautiful backdrop for these fine automobiles,” event founder and chairman Mike Baldauf states. “The event’s growth continues to elevate the Virginia Festival of the Wheel in our Commonwealth to the level of other nationally-known Concours car shows. It celebrates Charlottesville/Albemarle and our beautiful region.”
